The first time we meet, we’ll have a 50 min intake session, where you’ll tell me all about what’s been happening for you, the symptoms you want to resolve, and anything else in your life you want to see change through our work together.

Then together we’ll create a treatment plan based around the goals you shared with me.

Then we’ll dive into the work-whatever it is you want to begin with-maybe that’s anxious parts of you, maybe it’s boundaries with your mom or partner or kids, maybe it’s desensitizing a traumatic memory that keeps intruding on your thoughts. Whatever feels most pressing to you, that’s where we’ll begin. The psyche knows what it needs to integrate in order to move towards wholeness, and I trust that. We can work through any of the following channels: witnessing and validating your experiences, using Internal Family Systems to understand the different parts of you that may pull you in different directions-and ultimately give them the compassion they have been needing for so long, allowing the unconscious to express what it holds for you non-verbally through Sand Tray Therapy, and/or utilizing Bilateral Stimulation through Accelerated Resolution Therapy to desensitize sensations, emotions, and memories held in the body.

Sometimes I’ll recommend a book to read between sessions to keep momentum up and give you new ideas, but that’s about the only homework I ever give.

You can expect to see anxiety, depression, and trauma triggers decrease- sometimes in just a few sessions. You can expect feelings that you avoid to become less intense as you learn to tolerate them with compassion and non-judgement. You can expect to feel safe, heard, witnessed, and nourished.
